  Waterfront New Product Development  
 

New products and services are evaluated for special recognition or industry exposure. The principal of these studies is to focus on multiple attributes over the entire life cycle of products as they relate to clean marinas and clean water. Specific funding, pro-bono professional services and resources may be available to selected projects. Anyone interested in submitting material for review should contact us.

  • Cradle-to-Cradle – A design protocol that advocates the elimination of waste by recycling a material or product into a new or similar product at the end of its intended life, rather than disposing of it. At the end of their useful life, all materials become either a biological or technical nutrient. McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC); environmental consultants that developed the Cradle-to-Cradle protocol to assess human and ecological impacts of chemicals and materials.
 
 
  • Water Quality (EPA Performance Track) - Facilities can reduce water pollution that stresses treatment plants and receiving waters. The Performance Track program encourages applicants and members to report on improvements in the aspects of discharges to water listed below. Examples of appropriate measures are provided.
